RaeLynn, a native of Baytown, Texas, set out to audition for season two of The Voice. The young, country blonde bombshell took on country trio Pistol Annie's first single "Hell On Heels" and caught the attention of coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
To show that he was the right choice for her, Shelton choked with laughter at the other coaches, especially Levine who was also vying for RaeLynn and said "I can make you a country star."
While she may not have won season two of The Voice, RaeLynn placed third on Team Blake.
Since competing on the show, the 18-year-old Baytown, Texas native has accomplished a lot, including recording with Shelton, going on tour, and recording her debut album.
According to RaeLynn's official website, the teenage artist signed a record deal with Republic Nashville on July 13, 2012. Jimmy Harmen, president of Republic Nashville and Big Machine Label Group EVP said in the news item on her website, "RaeLynn stole the hearts of so many on The Voice and we are thrilled to announce her on the Republic Nashville label. We are excited to share her amazing talents with the Country music community and beyond."
RaeLynn has also served as an opening act on Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert's Locked And Reloaded tour. She also provided background vocals on Blake Shelton's most recent number one "Boys 'Round Here" along with Pistol Annie's.
The singer has also sang for the troops like so many other country artists including Toby Keith, Montgomery Gentry, Jake Owen, and Craig Morgan. According to her website, RaeLynn visited Fort Belvoir's USO Warrior and Family Center in Fairfax County, VA at the end of July. Because her brother is serving in the Special Forces, RaeLynn was able to appreciate what the families were going through.
